Dale is one of our fastest friends. This custom built cyclocrosser arrived just in time for him to race it in the Dirty Kanza 200 this weekend! It’s Dale’s first brand-new cross bike, and and it’s outfitted with all the best bits from Paul, DT Swiss, and Shimano. The brake bosses are specifically designed for Paul brakes and decrease the distance between the fork legs/seatstays and the brake arm. You can be dedicated to worse things…
Dale plans on doing more than just racing on it, so there’s rack and fender mounts on it for long haul camp trips and adventures. Also check out Rick‘s new style derailleur hanger and dropout system. The bolt on hanger is one thickness, making it easier to straighten without weakening it- a lot of aluminum hangers tend to break under the slightest stress at the thin portion that bolts to the frame dropout. Rick’s frames have a lot of well thought out details and features, I suppose that comes with designing and building frames for over twenty years.
We can’t wait to hear about all the adventures this bike is going to get into!
